My name is Susan Wallmeyer. Although the bulk of my professional experience (13 years) is as a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a focus on women’s health, I do have a B.S. in Biology and limited professional experience working in a microbiology laboratory setting and assisting with a Ph.D. research project. I say this to emphasize that although I’ve always respected and have been deeply interested in scientific inquiry, I am not a professional researcher nor a scientist or statistician.
I have undergone some formal training in research terminology and methodology as well as in critical reading of acupuncture research over the past 5 years, and am continuing to learn. In 2019 I completed a MAMPS Certificate in Research Literacy in Maternity Acupuncture as well as a MAMPS Certificate in Practical Maternity Acupuncture. For more information on me and my practice, go to my main website which is www.nychi-acupuncture.com.
